19 Weeks Post Op (Pictures and a Short Update)

Hi all! I'm still losing, even though I feel like I'm stuck again. I know it's just me being impatient. Sigh! So, my weight today....203 lbs. I'm super excited about this because I'm almost out of the 200's. YaY! I honestly never thought I'd see 100-something again. I was so close to 300 lbs. right before surgery that the 300-somethings looked like that would be my reality. Once again, I'm very thankful that I was blessed enough to have this surgery. I heart my sleeve!

I took my son to the Fort Worth Science Museum about a week ago. Here are a few pictures of the fun we had.
Okay, well, the BIG Dino did not scare the Cardinals. Oh well!
This is me taking the picture. My pants were nearly falling off of me that day...which is a wonderful problem to have.

  1. Excited for you to hit onederland! It feels so great to say a ONE in front of your weight. You are doing amazing for 19 weeks out, you should be so proud of yourself.
Gotta love the "big pants" problem vs the too tight pants!

  2. Thank you Sarah! Yes, I'm excited too! As far as those pants, right before surgery I was in a very tight 24w and had actually gone and bought a pair of 28w so I could be comfortable. I'm so thankful that I'm not there anymore. I suffered way too long with the "too tight" syndrome. Being in between sizes is a better problem to have. :)

  3. I am right at 203 as well! Although, technically my pattern is hit a new low, go up three pounds, go down two, up one, down to within a half pound of the new low and then when I am least expecting it, achieve a new low again. :-)

The scale said 203 within the last two days. This morning it said 204. Yesterday it said 206. If you ask me, I say 203. It will be there and below eventually. Onderland can't be far away for either of us. :)

  4. Hey Linda! I know exactly what you mean. My goes up and down, too! It drives me crazy! I claim the 203 because I know that there's no way I gained 2 fat pounds overnight and anyways, like you said, it will always go back down to there. Then hopefully within a week or two, I reach another low. This is hard but so worth it! And yes, onderland here we come!

    Thanks for stopping by!

  6. Roslyn!!!!! You're back! I've thought about you nearly every day. You sound like you're doing wonderfully. I hope your surgery went well and you had a quick recovery. So, is that 55 lbs. lost so far? That's so awesome and very exciting to hear! Keep me updated on how you're doing. And keep up the great work! Wow!

Thanks so much for the encouragement. As you can see, I haven't updated in a couple of weeks....partially because I've taken a lazy break and also, because I need batteries for my WII which I weigh on everyday when it's up and running. lol Okay, so I've been too lazy to go get batteries. :( I do have a manual scale in the bathroom but it's not exactly accurate all the time but I have been using that to stay in check but the WII is used for my official weigh in.

So good to hear from you! Keep in touch and take care! God bless! Penny

  7. Hi Penny,
I am having so much trouble getting posts through to you, I suspect my work email blocks it. You are doing so amazingly, I am so proud of you. I am going great guns and have to remind myself to eat something nutritious instead of eating nothing to keep my body healthy:) Happy Thanksgiving to you and those you love and have a wonderful time away.
    God bless you all.
