Totally Surprised!!!

Hey! I was over joyed yesterday when I was pleasantly surprised in my closet. Okay, for starters, I've been going on and on over the last week or two about my size 18 jeans not fitting right and even being a bit tight...remember? So yesterday, we were going to get out of the house for a little bit. I went in the closet and stared down the size 18 pants and really didn't want to mess with them. I even thought about putting back on my size 20's just to be comfortable even though they just practically fall off of me.  So, I got a little crazy and thought I'm going to try on one pair of 16's just to see how far I can get them up...thinking that this would motivate me to push myself a little harder. Wellllll, you won't believe this because I sure didn't, but I fit into that pair .... it was a perfect fit and comfortable. So, I thought, it's just the brand and how they cut them. So, I pulled out another pair of 16's. They fit, too! What is going on? So, I pulled out all 9 pairs (some pants, some jeans, some capri's) (And yes, I hoard my old clothes...always with the hope I'd get back into them one day) and started trying them on. ALL of them fit perfectly....now, 2 of them were a little tight in the waist but still, they fit. They're all different brands and so it's not just a different cut or anything. I'm in total shock! I'm thinking that my 18's were just a tighter cut brand...I only have 3 pairs of those.

Anyways, I'm so excited over this! I came out modeling for my husband with every single pair. He wasn't surprised like me...he said he could tell I'd lost more. He even told me I had some sexy curves! So, I'm feeling really good right now but I'm just blown away by this. So are my 18's really size 14-16's? Whatever, I love that 9 pairs of 16's fit!!!! Hot dog! I'm loving it!

26 Weeks Post Op (Update, Christmas, and Pictures)

Merry Christmas!!!! Wow, I can't believe it finally came and now it's practically gone. It always seems like it takes forever to get here and then in the few short weeks before Christmas, time starts to fly....THEN it's here...just like that. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. We sure did! And yes, I've been eating all the things that I shouldn't. Oh well! I haven't weighed since about 3 days ago. I just couldn't. I don't feel like I've gained anything but just in case I did, I didn't want to see it. It would depress me too much.

On that note, I will update you on my last weigh in. I'm now down to 193 lbs. Whoopee!!!! I love it! I finally got into my size 18 pants. They fit perfectly except when I sit down. Oh yeah baby, they're too tight in the waist when I do any type of bend. So the button has to give. Yes, I've been sitting down and when no one is looking I undo my button and sometimes unzip about a half inch and breath again. lol I've pretty much stopped wearing my size 20w pants because they are just falling off of me. I was frustrated because there should be an in-between size. I'm sure this will not be the first and last time this happens and I'm okay with that. It's a problem I'm glad to have. :)

So here are some very recent pictures ... all taken this last week. OH...OH...I forgot to tell you that I got my hair permed about 2 weeks ago. Let me tell you, it felt like an eternity waiting for the process to get done. My hair goes all the way down to my booty. It took around 120 rollers, 3 perms, and 5 hours to complete. Yes, you heard me right....5 hours! It's just now starting to relax a bit. I think I like it. My husband isn't a big fan of perms but he says it's pretty. And I've been receiving compliments from others so I don't think I look like a mop head....that's what I thought when I first got it. Naturally my hair is very straight and because I've lost quite a bit over the last couple of months, it thinned way down. It had no bounce or umph to it at all, I had to do something. Now, it has lots of body and it doesn't feel super thin to me anymore. Maybe I'll get my husband to take a picture of the back of it so you can see it a little better.

Okay, pictures! Oh and I also added some of the crafty things I've made in the last couple of weeks. I love to craft. I just wish I had more time to do it.

Our Christmas tree right after we decorated it.

I made this for my Granny to hang on her door. This was super easy and a lot of fun to make. Wood letter, pearl white acrylic paint, red and green yarn, red ribbon, green bells, and a hot glue gun! Simple!

This is a picture of my son when he was about 2 and a half. One of my favorites! Not quite as simple but not terribly hard. Very time consuming though. Wood, sander, tissue paper, Modge Podge, laser printer, and paint. I was going to give this as a gift to a family member but when it was all said and done, I was in love with it and couldn't let go of it. So I gifted myself! Thanks self!

Here's the finished project. Sorry, these were taken with my phone.

I made this for my Dad. This is him and my son when my son was about 2 and a half. I used all the same materials and techniques as in the above picture. My dad loved it and asked me if a local artist had done it. I was shocked! My husband jumped in and said that I had created it. My dad told me I should take this up. He actually walked around to everyone and was showing them and bragging on me. I couldn't believe it! Oh, can you see the wood through the picture...I love this about it. If anyone wants to know how to make these, let me know...I would love to share!

Nice Things Being Said

Tonight, my son had Awanas at church. Because of things that where going on, we missed the last 2 weeks. So it's been 3 weeks since I've seen a couple of friends. Well, tonight, as soon as I saw one friend, she immediately grabbed my jeans and started going on and on about how lose they are. Then she told me how wonderful I'm looking. She actually pointed out one of her friends about 2 months ago to me that had had the sleeve surgery a year or two ago and she was so wonderfully thin. You would have never known that she used to be an obese person. I had asked her about her other sleeved friend...you know, about how large she was and if she had had big legs like me. These are things I'm curious about because in all my many weight loss losing days, I was never able to achieve thin, beautiful legs....even when at one point, I'd got down to 130 lbs......my legs were still fat and it was noticeable. So, my friend was telling me about her. She said she was much larger than I was when she had the surgery and carried her weight on her bottom half mostly, just like me. This seemed promising that this surgery was the answer to those kind of problems. So tonight, while she was grabbing at my jeans, she said to me, "And you were worried about your legs, silly girl!" This made me feel awesome!

Then another friend which I hadn't seen in about 3 weeks either, came up and was telling me that she could tell that I'd lost some more and that I looked really good. What an awesome, wonderful feeling!

Okay, one more nice thing that was said. This didn't have anything to do with the weight loss itself but it sure made me feel loved and adored by my hubby. We were talking about what happened right after surgery when the surgeon came to talk to him about me. My hubby told me he'd already told me this but I didn't remember. He said that when the surgeon came out to tell him that everything went well and to give him the pictures of the surgery...which by the way, if you haven't seen the pictures, go here. Anyways, he said that when he saw the pictures, he didn't know whether to shake his hand or to knock him out! Wow! He does love me after all! No, I knew he loved me but to hear things that he was thinking like that, it makes my heart skip a beat or two. You know men, they are never really too open about how they're really feel.

Have a blessed night!
